Thank you so much for purchasing access to this Watercolour and Pencil mini-course! These two lessons were originally recorded for my Patreon supporters. You'll find the reference at the bottom of this page.
Part 1 - Drawing
I use a faber-castell bluish turquoise pencil on hahnemühle mixed media paper. I reference a couple of other drawing by eye tutorials early in this video and you can find them here: A pencil quick sketch tutorial and self portrait originally filmed for my Patreon supporters https://youtu.be/x0I4xYNZ2nU tools and tips to help you with Observational Drawing https://youtube.com/live/RrTIoXkh9tU
Part 2 - Painting
I'm working on Hahnemühle mixed media block, 310gm2 (0.68lb) 30x40cm (11.8 x 15.7inch) paper. From the Gris Schmincke paint set I use the watercolours: Neutral Tint, Cobalt Turquoise, Ultramarine Finest, Indigo, Raw Sienna, Transparent Orange, Alizarin Crimson, Quinacridone Red Light and a tiny bit of Brilliant Opera Rose. Feel free to use other similar colours if you don't have those exact ones.
A 6mm flat, a 16mm flat and a mop brush. To finish up we add a little more lifework for detail and definition with the faber-castell bluish turquoise and magenta pencils.
