I made this portrait of Shannon Vaught for lesson 2 of my Observational Drawing and Watercolor Portraiture course. Shannon is a wonderful artist and friend from the Cane Yo community. As with all pieces in this series I start with coloured pencil and paint with watercolour. I love people and portraiture and using portraiture as a means of connection and understanding.
